Job Title: Warehouse Assistant
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

Department: Warehouse
Summary
Assists the Warehouse Supervisor by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Performs general filing.
• Answers incoming phone calls and provides directions to all drivers picking up or delivering product.
• Administrates the warehouse petty cash.
• Fills out all the time sheets for the warehouse staff and all other forms needed.
• Purchases office supplies and other items.
• Keeps track of all products released and held by the FDA (assist with information requested).
• Enters receiving and shipments data from Dependable warehouse as reviewing incoming invoices.
• Completes any other project required by Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Coordinator.
• Prints out POP and samples reports of all in and out material to management.
• Keeps up to date and controls budget on Cognos for all warehouse expenses.
• Maintains Daily logs on the Trucking appointments
• Mails packages, boxes etc.. via US Postal Service, UPS or FED EX.
• Coordinates sample product, request, preparation, shipments as required.
• Enters receiving and shipments data from Dependable warehouse as reviewing incoming invoices.
• Coordinates POP request preparation, shipments and follows up with delivery as required.
• Keeps inventories up to date in the Epicor and conduct physical inventory count when needed.
• Participate actively with his/hers Participative Management Process Team. (Attending meetings, updating indicators, suggestions, team presentations, etc…)
• Complete any other project required by management.=
Qualifications
The candidate needs to be self-motivated, organized, and highly productive, with the ability to work well on a diverse and highly qualified team in a fast-paced work environment. Be effective in working as a member of a team within Novamex.
Excellent customer service skills, analytical abilities as well verbal and written communication skills in English. Must be able to multi-task on multiple projects.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus one to three years related experience and/or training. Employee is required to maintain safety training, improve computer knowledge and improve interpersonal communication skills.
Language Ability:
Bilingual English/Spanish is a must. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Emphasis is on excellent communication skills in order to develop clear reports, business correspondence, and presentations for the company. . Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers. Overall excellent communication and writing skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
